Capital Budget Manager (CBM)
Designed to ease the pain of the Capital Budgeting process, CBM begins with defining the approval path for capital requests. Requests are submitted, reviewed, and approved via this fully online-distributed module – giving Department Managers the ability to complete a request in a structured manner, submit the request, then track its status during the process. Actual capital expenditures are also tracked so the amount of available capital is always known.
From a Management perspective, the CBM module allows complete flexibility in tailoring the process to meet specific needs. User-defined categories of project type, financial type and priority level, as well as user-defined standard lists for equipment, ensure requests include appropriate information. The CBM module also provides complete control of the capital budget process from the available features, through edit capabilities by individual user.
At the approval level, CBM provides the ability to view, sort, and filter on any criteria. For example, at this level you could view all Information Systems projects that have a priority of urgent with an IRR of at least 5%. Once projects are approved, CBM provides the tools to track actual capital purchases down to the invoice level of detail.
