Clinical Analysis Manager (CAM)
The new CAM module works with the EPSi Product Line Analysis module to extend the clinical analytic capabilities. CAM focuses on specific events that may occur during a patient stay, in order to highlight potential areas of concern, analyze CMS and JCAHO metrics, measure the cost of doing quality clinical care and more. For example, identifying AMI patients who received, or did not receive, aspirin within two hours of admission, patients who had to return to the operating room within the same day of stay, or even specific combinations of coding that may reduce reimbursement or result in denied payments can be easily defined.
The CAM module enables analysis of clinical conditions or results, and assists in determining the impact on costs, reimbursement, and utilization. Patients tagged with a clinical code can then be used across all of the comprehensive Enterprise Reporting and within the Enterprise Management Dashboard with full graphical and drill down capability.
