Enterprise Strategic Planning Manager (ESP)
Combines product line analysis with long range planning, capital planning, and operational budgeting in one system. This integration provides more accurate, flexible planning and modeling while linking the operating results with the strategic plan – ensuring all of your organization is “on the same page.”
With ESP, you can model multiple scenarios of new projects, capital expenditures, rate structures, and case forecasting out to ten years. It begins with patient history data, as well as GL and payroll. User-defined products, such as cardiology, orthopedics, etc., drive the departmental volumes, revenues, labor, costs, and net revenues based on the utilization and intensity of the product. You can model any changes for discharges, LOS, utilization, rates, labor mix, cost, reimbursement, multiple new capital projects or clinical services, and see the impact on profitability, cash flow, debt capacity, financial ratios and risk.
ESP is an enterprise-wide solution designed around EPSi’s integrated data model that enables data to flow seamlessly among applications. It also allows for easy distribution of the process, while maintaining a consolidated view.
The result of the strategic planning process is the operating budget. All assumptions and modeling flow directly to the GL and balance sheet so that the operating budget is in sync with the long-range plan. As actual data is loaded every month, the model is flexed based on actual results, and variances to the operating budget and the long-range plan are highlighted immediately.
A zero-client, browser-based footprint and Web-based reporting and analytics, make it easy to deploy and ensure your entire organization is in step with the planning process.
